Second Graders are visiting the Science Museum of Minnesota THIS Friday, February 27th! We are limited in the number of volunteers, and have sent notes home to let people who volunteered if we are able to bring them along with us or not. Unless you ordered a school-made lunch for your child, please remember to pack a bag lunch for Friday.
We will spend most of our school day at the museum, so your children will have lots to talk about when they get home!

As you may have heard, we have been visited by high school students on the Osseo Girls' basketball team each week for the past couple months. The kids enjoy reading from their book bags with our volunteers, and the program has been great! They only have a few weeks left with us, and as a thank you for our participation, each student got a ticket for one free admission to the Osseo Girls' and Boys' basketball game this Thursday, February 19th. The ticket is also good for a free popcorn at the concession stand. We hope you can attend and support our awesome volunteers! One more incentive to go to the game: this game is a "black out", AND, it is "Box Out Cancer" night! There will be face painting, a raffle, door prizes and tables selling t-shirts and more to raise money for the Pay it Forward cancer help fund. We are studying air and weather in science, and the kids made their own parachutes to see how air resistance slows the fall of objects. |
