We went to the Science Museum of Minnesota today! We were very lucky to have lots of excellent parent volunteers who all helped us provide great experiences for all of the children! Mrs. Subhi shared her photos, and we would love to add more as parents send them in (if you happened to take any). Thanks again, Parents!

We learned more about air pressure on Monday when we made air and water fountains with bottles, plungers, syringes and flexible tubing. The kids practiced moving the air from one syringe to another, then we added water and the fun really started! Today we discussed the many kinds of lines used in art. The kids made a line drawing in a style similar to the artist Kiki in "My Head is Full of Colors". We will laminate their final product and send them home soon. We continued our work with lines in art by creating our own weft/looms and using warm or cool colors to weave through the loom. Today, the kids each made a parachute to help further our understanding of air resistance. After assembling our parachutes, each child had a chance to test their product! |
